History of Tunnocks
Thomas Tunnock opened his bakery in Uddingston in 1890 and passed the family business on to his son Archie. He put a lot of hard work and ingenuity into his craft and in 1952 invented the Caramel Wafer, which is still one of Britain's favourite sweets today. The company is still family owned and run by Sir Achirbald Boyd Tunnock.
