The spice and 18 months of ageing made the sauce so delicious that John Wheeley Lea and William Henry Perrins decided to offer it for sale. Now Worcestershire sauce is exported to over 130 countries around the world.
Worcestershire sauce is versatile in the kitchen, especially with meat dishes. Worcestershire sauce is also used in the preparation of the alcoholic cocktail Bloody Mary and Michelada.
