Cole's Traditional Brandy Christmas Pudding
This delicious Brandy Christmas Pudding is made with a generous helping of fine brandy.
History of the Christmas Pudding
Christmas pudding has been eaten at Christmas since the Middle Ages. The sweet dish, consisting of dried fruit, breadcrumbs and eggs, was served with milk or fortified wine. Christmas pudding is also known as plum pudding, although the word "plum" was used before the 18th century to mean "sultana". It is important to note that Christmas Pudding does not contain plums.
PREPARATION GUIDLINES:
Remove outer packaging and loosen lid.
To Microwave: Cook on full power for 6 minutes, (based on a 800 Watt output, if different refer to manufacturer's handbook.
To Steam or Boil: Place in a steamer or boil in a saucepan filled to half depth of the pudding with water. Cook for 2 hours. Do not boil dry.
Serving: Once cooked invert basin onto plate and allow to stand for 30 seconds.
